Clyde Valley and Kennishead

Kennishead Flats W

Had a lovely wander about Rouken Glen Park yesterday with friends. First time I’ve been to the park since I was about 6 or 7 years old! Some lovely views from the the golf course out across the Clyde valley, with the Kennishead flats in the middle distance and the west end of the Campsie Fells beyond that. More pictures of Rouken Glen to follow.

Loch Leven

Loch Leven Boat

This picture is from a couple of months back when  visited Glencoe in the West Scottish Highlands, I actually thought I had posted it already but apparently not! This was taken shortly after sun rise, one of the only clear mornings we had while we were there.

Loch Ard and Ben Lomond

Loch Ard & Ben Lomond

Last weekend me and my partner (also an academic, and a much better one that I) attended a writing retreat in Gartmore Village near Aberfoyle in the Trossachs. Most of the weekend was spent writing with the rest of the group, which was very productive, but I did manage to get a few pictures of the beautiful surroundings while I was there, despite the rubbish weather. This picture was taken from the east end of Loch Ard looking west towards the snow capped Ben Lomond in the distance. I’ll be taking a trip back here when the weather improves (and importantly it starts getting dark a bit later that 4pm) as it is a photographers paradise of beautiful woods, lochs and quiet little villages.

Coates Memorial Church, Paisley

A quick snap of Coates Memorial Church in Paisley, just across from the university campus where I study and work. I love this building, and with the autumn colours on the trees surrounding it I think it looks even better.

Taken on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and edited in Snapseed.
